Kionsom Waterfall
It’s been almost 11 years since I last visited Kionsom Waterfall in Inanam (Although, the fact that I stay at Menggatal which is very near to Inanam). Last Saturday, Me and 3 other friends (i.e. Sharin, Ed & Empty) went there with 2 main objectives. Ed and Empty re-visited the site where they “lepak-ing when escape dari sekolah”, kiranya mengimbau nostalgia zaman-zaman sekolah la ni… hehehe... While me and Sharin wanted to take some photographs, especially to try the longer exposure technique or slow shutter speed. We were also ‘tersesat’ because we didn’t remember where the highest level of the waterfall is. (and also because of the unknown hanging bridge that as far as I can remember was not there before...hehe..) So we continued the hiking to the upper stream until we found kebun orang…then we knew that sudah terlimpas tingkat paling atas of the waterfall.. hehe… Thank God we didn’t end up at Kiulu… kekeke…
It was a bit tricky to take photograph in the jungle where the natural lighting from the sun affected by the tree canopies above us. So, while some area in the photo was ‘rightly exposed’, other area was overexposed (under direct sunlight). Nevertheless, this was a very good learning experience for us especially on importance of metering adjustment, exposure control, composition etc. Thanx to some comments that I received in my photostream (flickr).
