Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri

I would like to take this oppurtunity to wish all my friends Selamat Hari Raya AidilFitri, Maaf Zahir & Batin and Happy Holidays.

I would also like to apologize for any wrong doings that I might have done to everyone. As an ordinary human, we are prone to make mistakes; and this is the best time to ask forgiveness from everybody. From the bottom of my heart, forgive me…and forgive people around you as well.

As for me, this Raya will be a different Raya after all 'unwelcomed' events that had happened to me these past few months. I am not expecting a joyful celebration apart from syukur that I was enable to complete my duties during Ramadhan. In short, my celebration will be ala kadar seja.

Nevertheless, i will still do my routine during every Raya which are: solat raya > salam parent n family > ziarah kubur > makan lamban/kelupis > visit rumah saudara > visit rumah kawan...

The only thing that I am really looking forward this raya is the long holiday where I will have plenty of time to take photos… yeehhaaaa…!!!! :))

p/s: If ada open house don’t forget to invite me ya.. hihihi…

SabahRhinos.com Gathering & Berbuka Puasa

Last saturday, Sabahrhinos.com telah mengadakan majlis berbuka puasa cum gathering cum dinner di Beverly Hotel, Kota Kinabalu... event ni di arrange oleh orang kuat sr.com iaitu Mr. Kayoti n Mr. Trex. Kehadiran adalah memberangsangkan dgn 3 meja bulat yg telah direserved awal penuh dgn kehadiran member2 sr.com termasuk yg baru mo join.. hehe... ini adalah kali ke-3 event ini diadakan di Beverly Hotel dan merupakan salah satu aktiviti yg diadakan setiap tahun oleh ahli2 sr.com... berikut adalah sebahagian photo2 event tersebut.. sebahagian photo2 lagi boleh dilihat di dalam forum sr.com.... TQ. :-)

RocketDock

Hi there... this entry has nothing to do with photography.. hehe.. just to share my new 'modified' desktop by using RocketDock. I've also installed UXtheme Multi Patcher and Vista Skin... though its look nice now, but my laptop a bit 'heavier' lah... hehe..

By the way, you can get RocketDock and other freeware, shareware and demo softwares from here.

EOS Experience Seminar (Con't)

I’ve been unable to access the internet from my house for 2 days now because of the streamyx connection problem.. and I am still waiting for their technician to come to do the rectification… Got a lil bit of time today in the office for 'blogging time'..hihihihi.. So... here are some photos taken during the EOS experience seminar 2008 at STAR last Sunday. Btw, I’ve already uploaded some photos of the models during the shooting session in my flickr. Feel free to visit and to leave your comments there. The Seminar was quite interesting especially for those who are interested in Canon System. Presenters for the seminar were Mr. Kaz Chua and Mr. Teoh Peng Kee. Besides the presentation, there were also an outdoor shooting session and demo of studio photography, canon EOS 50D and canon DPP software.

What does it take to give back trust when someone took it all away?? People often take this word lightly; it's not a word you can just say. It takes a lot of determination and dedication inside of you to give this word it's true meaning. Trust is never given, it is something that is earned. Many people only see it's meaning after the lesson they have learned. Trust is a word we should hold real high because it means a lot to us. And being in a position to lose a trust is a position everybody wouldn't want to be.

Can you give back trust if you ever been in a position when trust was taken from you?

'Berbuka Puasa' With Friends

There was no significant activity involving photography over the weekend. Just googling, facebooking, reading, flickering, blogging all day long.. hehe.. On Saturday morning I received sms from Girllyen inviting me for breaking fast cum dinner with some friends. Well, makan punya pasal immediately I replied YES. Hehe.. After all it was really boring sitting in front of monitor for hours. The original plan was to break fast at the Promenade Hotel, but due to no tables available (as we didn’t make an early reservation), we changed our plan and went to The Roof of Imperial International Hotel instead. This was my first time to dining there and the food was quite ok with variety of selections.

An afternoon at Nexus Karambunai

Yesterday I had an outdoor photography session at Nexus Karambunai with two friends from sabahrhinos.com. It's been a while since I've done my last outdoor photography session, so i was quite excited that i even bought a new tripod few hours prior to the session ..hehehe..

The session started at around 4pm and intermittently stopped due to the heavy rain. The session lasted till 6pm and we proceeded for breaking of fast cum dinner at The Kingfisher Restaurant of Nexus Karambunai. Had a nice buffet and chit-chatted about work, photography & etc. We were also entertained by the resort's trio live band. These are some photos of yesterday's session:

A start of a humble beginning…

You must be interested to know why suddenly there is a picture of a car (viva to be exact) in my blog. Well, this Ramadan reminds me the time when I was in the early phase of my working life 2 years ago. At that time, my paycheck was so little thus not enough to buy a proper car… cukup-cukup makan la orang bilang.. hehe.. Therefore, I used public transportation to commute daily from my house in Menggatal to my office which was located at Tanjung Lipat at that time (Anyway, using public transportation is not a big deal for me as I used it since I was in secondary school).

After office hour at 5 o’clock, as usual I’d take Kg Likas bus and headed to the city centre. From there I’d go to belakang Perpustakan Negeri where I took another bus to Menggatal. This is the peak hour where all the roads in KK will be packed with hundreds of cars. This was a normal situation that I faced everyday at that time. Sometimes I’d be stranded in the traffic jam for hours.

Then when the holy month of Ramadan arrived, I’d face a ‘challenge’. Time for breaking of fast is usually around six something, and at that time I’d still be inside the bus, stuck in traffic jam somewhere in KK. I bet u can guess where I broke my fast? Ya.. inside the bus.. hehe.. for the whole month of Ramadan (except weekends) I’d broke my fast inside the bus with other passengers..!!! As for my juadah berbuka, I’d bought buns n air kotak only…

Now, I have my humble little viva. As I can reach home early, I can break my fast at home together with my family everyday. I can even singgah at Bazar Ramadan at Indah Permai to buy some kuih. Though the car is small, but I really appreciate it as it fulfilled my objective of owning a car which is to get from point A to point B. Thinking of owning a big car? Yes.. but maybe later in future when I have a big family or when my business plan is successful. Heheh.. when I remember those days, I smile to myself.. this is just the beginning... :-)
